ASEAN-China Business and Investment Summit is Named “China's Most Influential Conference in 2019”

On December 20^th, good news came from the 17th China’s Conference and Exhibition Industry Annual Meeting (CCEIM), 2019 Annual Award Ceremony of China’s Conference and Exhibition Industry, and Cooperation and Exchange Convention of China’s Conference and Exhibition Industry held in Wuzhen, Zhejiang Province. ASEAN-China Business and Investment Summit (CABIS) was named “China's Most Influential Conference in 2019”. Mr. Li Changguan, Secretary General of CABIS Secretariat and Chairman of CCPIT Guangxi Committee, won the “Contribution Award of China’s Conference Industry” of “Annual Awards of China’s Conference and Exhibition Industry in 2019”.
Since the establishment of CABIS 16 years ago, it has become an important bridge for China and ASEAN countries to enhance political mutual trust, a major platform for economic and trade cooperation, and a significant link for strengthening people-to-people exchanges. It has become one of the three first-class exhibitions on national level designated by the Chinese government. CAEXPO and CABIS have become an attractive name brand for Guangxi and an important opening-up platform for China and ASEAN, noted Secretary General Xi Jinping in his visit to Guangxi in April 2017.
Over the past 16 years, CABIS kept forging ahead step by step and promoted in-depth and pragmatic cooperation. It has become one of the most influential international conferences of the highest standard in business and investment between China and ASEAN countries. It is also an industrial and commercial event between China and ASEAN countries of the highest level, and achieves fruitful results in promoting ASEAN-China cooperation. The past 16 years has witnessed CABIS attended by more than 57 state leaders from China and beyond, 1,500 ministerial-level government officials, and over 50 thousand senior business executives from Fortune 500 enterprises, top 500 Chinese enterprises and many other enterprises from ASEAN countries as well as experts and scholars. All in all, there have been more than 50 thousand personages from the political and business communities attending this event. During CABIS, a number of talks among state leaders, ministers and local officials of the two sides have been held, which has enhanced mutual understanding, deepened consensus, fully demonstrated the principals and aspirations of the strategic partnership between China and ASEAN, and become an institutional platform for ASEAN-China political and business exchanges and dialogues.
Along with 16 years of hard work, CABIS has been constantly reformed and upgraded, with more distinct orientation, more focused service industry, more active service strategy, and closer services for enterprises. As stated by a person in charge of CABIS Secretariat, the Summit will strive to ensure it’s high quality and level, unique characteristics and satisfactory effects and results, and it will accelerate the formation of the development mode that “converges and promotes the industries throught CABIS so as to achieve the ultimate goal of industrial integration”. By doing so, we can further promote the local structure of comprehensive opening up and development and facilitate the construction under the Belt and Road Initiative.
