Vietnam set to collect 33 bln USD for state budget in 2017

    HANOI, Nov.14 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam on Monday targeted to collect some 729.73 trillion Vietnamese dong (33.1 billion U.S. dollars) to the state budget in 2017, said a resolution adopted by Vietnamese lawmakers on Monday.
    The resolution was adopted during the ongoing second session of the 14th National Assembly (NA) in capital Hanoi on Monday.
    According to the resolution, the state spending is 902.03 trillion Vietnamese dong (41 billion U.S. dollars), of which, more than 254.63 trillion Vietnamese dong (11.57 billion U.S. dollars) is for local budgets.
    Vietnamese government asked the ministries, agencies and local authorities to report the outcomes of budget allocation in line with the law on state budget.
    It also requested prioritizing capital into projects of national significance, urgent projects being invested, housing for ex-revolutionaries, public-private partnership projects, and corresponding capital for those using official development assistance.
    The NA Standing Committee, the NA's Finance-Budget Committee, Ethnic Council and other committees, and lawmakers are responsible for monitoring the effort, reported the state-run news agency VNA.
