China-ASEAN Business Leaders Forum & Special Dialogue on RCEP Business Cooperation to be Held in Nanning, Guangxi on September 17, 2022

As an important event under the framework of the 19th China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (CABIS), China-ASEAN Business Leaders Forum & Special Dialogue on RCEP Business Cooperation will be held in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on September 17, 2022, with the theme of “Deepening RCEP Economic and Trade Cooperation, Building the Version 3.0 China-ASEAN FTA”.

As the forum has three topics, the participants will have dialogues and discussions on hot issues such as RCEP boostingthe building of version 3.0 China-ASEAN FTA, accelerating green transformation and upgrade, and reinforcing cooperation on industrial and supply chains. The forum will also release a number of innovative achievements such as Business Environment of ASEAN 2022, providing practical suggestions for Chinese enterprises to invest in ASEAN and even inRCEP membercountries.

It is reported that the forum will maintain the same specifications for the participation of national leaders as last year, and 1-2 leaders of ASEAN countries will be invited to attend the forum anddeliver speeches. Heads of well-known international organizations such as ASEAN-China Centre and China-Japan-Korea Cooperation Secretariat will also be invited to attend the forum.

This year marks the beginning of building the ASEAN-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, and the first year of the implementation of RCEP, and thebuilding of Version 3.0 China-ASEAN FTAisabout to be launched. In this context, the forum will play a positive role in further strengthening practical exchanges and cooperation between China and ASEAN business communities, building a closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future, and expanding cooperation with Japan, South Korea and other RCEP countries.

Since it was first held in 2010, China-ASEAN Business Leaders Forum has been successfully held for 12 consecutive yearswith more than 1,000 business leaders and enterprise representatives attendingin it, which provides an effective platform for communication between government and business community.
